Russian Rejects

Emma and I found ourselves at the dinner table the other night trying to figure out how long we had been in Lithuania. Two months... did that seem right? Our conversation had been apparently overheard because Medeina piped in "Two months and two days!" followed by Jolita who said "Yes, two months and two days."
Our host family has been counting... not to our day of departure we hope...

A little Saturday stroll ended us up at the "I love you, I love you too" hills entering into Old Town.

We hiked up to Three Crosses... and was it a hike! Gorgeous view though wouldn't you say? Definitely worth it.

Found a fun little Flea Market, the outside was a bit more exciting than the inside however.

Cat paintings! Lithuanians love them.

The greatest place to grab a milkshake in Old Town. Seriously, in love!
We met the Russian speaking sister missionaries on Sunday and they were hilarious! It was lovely picking their brains about all things mission related. I told them all about my mission call and they gave me some very helpful tips. They informed me that missionaries sometimes struggle with getting visas in Russia and if they aren't approved they will often times get reassigned to the Baltic Mission. Upon arrival to the Baltics they become known as the "Russian rejects."
However much I love the Baltics and would be thrilled to come back... here's to hoping my visa goes through and I don't become a "Russian reject" myself.

Lots of love from Lithuania!
