Happenings in Lithuania

It's been a pretty typical couple of weeks here in Lithuania. As we're getting closer to our departure date (two weeks... sad, I know) we've been getting the kids ready for their "Spectacle" performance for their parents. My class will be singing their hearts out (hopefully...) to "Kung-Fu Fighting." It's a bit last minute but I figure that even if they just get up there and do whatever kind of dancing they want for three minutes their parents will love it anyway...right?
Practicing for our performance...teaching them Gangum Style
In other news... Dovydous got a hair cut this past week....
Dovydous' haircut...

...a mullet.
...we traveled to Palanga with the Lindsay and Michaela...
At Palanga for a second time, we do indeed love it here!

At the Pier

All four of us at the Baltic Sea

At the BEACH! Probably my last time for the next year and a half or so....

Eating waffles, covered in chocolate...and sprinkles!
... And it was Michaela's birthday on Sunday!!! As it was her birthday while we were at the beach we had a little "surprise" party for her on Monday after school. Lindsay decorated, baked, bought a pizza, and ran around getting everything ready while we were at school teaching and all without Michaela knowing. It was a lot of fun! In honor of her birthday you should all listen to this song.
Pizza and Fruit Pizza for Michaela's Birthday :)

Happy Birthday Michaela!
I can't believe I have to say goodbye to this amazing country and the people I've met here so soon, but I'm determined to make every moment count!

Until next time, lots of love from Lithuania.
